On September 11, Microbank MBC participated in the conference “Financial Education in Schools: From Idea to the Classroom,” organized by FinEdu, the financial education platform of the National Bank of Georgia. The conference aimed to facilitate the exchange of experience and practices within the financial sector in this area.

As part of the conference, MBC’s Chief Operating Officer, Eto Chachibaia, participated in a panel discussion titled “The Role of the Financial Sector in the Financial Education of Future Generations,” where she spoke about MBC’s financial education initiatives, its experience of collaborating with schools, and the challenges in this area.

Conference participants also discussed the national vision for financial education and its integration into schools, as well as programs and resources available to teachers.

Microbank MBC has been actively supporting FinEdu, the financial education platform of the National Bank of Georgia, since 2021.

“Contributing to the development of a financially aware society is part of MBC’s corporate responsibility and sustainability strategy. For the financial sector, financially informed customers who make consistent and considered decisions contribute to a less risky environment. That is why collaborating with schools allows us to contribute to raising financial awareness among future generations and support the development of a stable and sustainable economy in the country,” said Eto Chachibaia, Chief Operating Officer of MBC.

It is worth noting that in April and May 2026, around 15 MBC employees conducted 15 financial education lessons across four regions of Georgia (Batumi, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kvemo Kartli and Shida Kartli) reaching up to 350 students.

“We are always pleased to support projects where we clearly see the value and impact of our involvement. Financial education is precisely one of the areas that represents a key focus of MBC’s corporate responsibility efforts,” said Eto Chachibaia, Chief Operating Officer of MBC.

The conference brought together representatives of the financial, education and public sectors with the aim of promoting the development of financial education in schools and strengthening cross-sector cooperation. The event also included the award ceremony for the finalists and winner of the National Financial Education Teachers’ Award.
