MBC has secured more than GEL 5 million in financing from Enabling Qapital

Microbank MBC has attracted more than GEL 5 million in unsecured financing from Swiss asset management company Enabling Qapital. The funding is fully denominated in the national currency, the Georgian lari. The funds will be used to finance and support the development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. This initiative will enable local entrepreneurs to benefit from more flexible and diversified financing options.

The transaction marks an important milestone in MBC’s strategic development and once again demonstrates the high level of trust international partners place in the company’s management quality and sustainability.

“We are pleased that our successful partnership with Enabling Qapital gives us the opportunity to make financing even more accessible to micro, small and medium-sized businesses. This partnership once again highlights the company’s commitment to making banking as convenient as possible for its customers,” said Gia Petriashvili, CEO of Microbank MBC.

MBC continues to actively expand its partnerships with international funds. It is one of the few financial institutions in Georgia that attracts funding from international institutions and has access to global capital markets.

Enabling Qapital is a Swiss asset management company that invests globally to support micro, small and medium-sized enterprises and promote the development of a sustainable economy.

MBC has been operating in the financial market since 2013 and is Georgia’s first licensed microbank. The company operates 18 service centers across the country and employs approximately 300 people. It is also among the few financial institutions in Georgia with access to global capital, working with partners such as responsAbility, Incofin, Symbiotics, Triple Jump, Finance in Motion, Enabling Qapital, and others.
